Scheduling Private Events

Can't make it to a scheduled Kids Give Back event or looking for a meaningful activity for your group? We'll work with you to host a private event! Kids Give Back can host a volunteer service project for birthdays, corporate events, Scout Troops, home-schoolers, and more!

Once you know who you'd like to serve and the budget, select one of the projects below. Most activities include supplies to make handmade cards or a small craft to put in the packages.

Sample Projects for Private Events

Snack Packs: Compile snack packs for food-insecure children or toddlers.

Hygiene Kits or Spa Kits: Create kits for low-income individuals for their most basic needs, such as shampoo, combs, and tissues, or pamper women in need with bubble baths, lotions, and lip balms.

Art/Activity Kits: Bring some sunshine to hospitalized, sick, or disabled children by packing totes full of activities such as coloring books, card games, craft kits, and more.

Birthday Celebration Kits: Help spread birthday cheer by packaging cake mix, frosting, sprinkles, birthday banners, and other items for children who live in shelters.

Support Animals in Shelters: Make no-sew fleece blankets or snuffle mats for dogs or goody bags for cats.

Service Projects for the Military: Write letters or draw pictures for the military and decorate pillowcases (which double as carrying bags). $4 each.

Baby Baskets: Baskets of newborn essentials serve underprivileged mothers in Fairfax. Teams work to wrap boxes and fill them with bottles, books, blankets, and other baby items. The baskets are topped off with a small craft.

Once we've agreed upon a date, the Kids Give Back staff will meet you at your desired location with all supplies in hand. We'll start by teaching a short lesson on how kids can give back to their community, introduce the project and who it benefits, lead it, and donate completed projects to the charity.

Projects range from $12-$15 per attendee (except Baby Baskets, which are $30-$50 each, depending on the contents).

Interested? Submit the Project Request form or email [email protected]; you can be a hero to those in need!
