Fairfax County Public Library Visits Camp

Yesterday, FCPL’s Support Services Coordinator Marina Shafran was invited to speak at the Kids Give Back summer camp where she shared with the children how the library is a caring, supportive and welcoming place for people from all walks of life and with diverse needs. Following her presentation, the kids helped Marina assemble care kits to be shared with FCPL’s vulnerable patrons. Also in attendance was Braddock District Supervisor James Walkinshaw who, following his own presentation, stayed for Marina’s and then took a moment to discuss our library’s support services initiatives with her.
