More than 80 local children came together at Summer Volunteer Camp to make a big impact in our community. With new projects, new teachers, and even a new location in Vienna, all five weeks of camp were full of enthusiastic children ready to flex their “giving back” muscles!
Projects highlights:
- Packing breakfast for Veterans in partnership with Cook For Vets
- Painting artwork for pediatric hospitals with residents of Sunrise Senior Living, Vienna
- Creating summer skincare kits with Kids Give Back Teen Board member, Martina Blacutt
- Packing summer backpacks for the unhoused in partnership with Made in Reston
- Learning about service dogs and making toys for Leashes of Valor
- Filling sand pails with toys, bubbles, games, and more for Second Story
