In December 2026, we will host our sixth year of Baskets for Babies, bringing families together to assemble baskets of essentials for low‑income expectant parents.
What begins as plain cardboard boxes will quickly transform into festive, gift‑ready baskets filled with clothes, blankets, linens, toiletries, first‑aid kits, toys, books, rattles, and other newborn necessities. Volunteers will also add handmade touches—cards, nursery decorations, and customized bibs and onesies with adorable iron‑on designs.
Baskets for Babies started in a church parking lot during the pandemic, and since then, families have created 500 baskets for Fairfax County’s Department of Family Services to distribute. We’ll collect baby items this fall with a goal of donating at least 100 baskets in 2026.
